Cycle to Korcula Island

The country side.

Lunch at the family owned restaurant.

Stopped for a traditional Croatian lunch at this family owned Konoica restaurant. We had homemade Ustipci bread and Peka, which is meat, potatoes and vegetables slow cooked under a cast iron dome baking dish. Here the owner demonstrates the cooking techniqe.

We had pork, chicken, lamb, potatoes and vegetables. The lamb was cooked in it's own pan as to not transfer the flavor of lamb into the other foods.

Several vineyards along the route.

Made it to Korcula, known as the little Dubrovnik.

Luckily, the staff takes care of all of the bikes.

John & Erin found a place for pizza!

Climbing to the rooftop bar!

Onward to the rooftop bar!

They had great view of our ship from the rooftop!

We ate at this restaurant. It was delicious and FUN!

The staff was great. The chef cooked in the same room with us!

Diane couldn't decide what size of beer she wanted and finally she said that she just wanted a little beer....so Antonio brought her a little beer! Needless to say, she decided on a "big beer!"

Mike and Jerry decided on the fish dinner for two...WOW! It was spectacular!

Diane ordered shrimp. The funny story here is that she said she didn't want RICE...the waitress bluntly asked, "WHY?" Then Diane said, "Well, could I get something else?" Again, the waitress bluntly asked, "WHY?" Long story short, the waitress explained that there rice just wasn't "RICE!" It was delicious! It was more like risotto, with garlic, onions, parsley & cheese.

Antonio, the future owner, delivered a "small" bill, since he knew Diane liked "small" amounts. He folded up the bill into a "small size!"

We girls have been doing some shopping. these are my purchases. There is Adriatic coral sold in many shops. The white bracelets are made from the local limestone in the area.
