Dubrovnik-Port City in South Croatia - May 21-23
Dubrovnik is an old town that has preserved medieval walls from the 15th century. It is especially popular for tourists because it was the main site for filming a series called "Game of Thrones." The walls and rooftops are still being rebuilt after the Croatian War of Independence. The war with Yugoslavia lasted from 1991-1995. People still live within the city. Our guide said that it is not easy to live in the city. There are no cars, grocery stores, all stone streets and lots of steps! Hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There are many shops, restaurants, and homes within the city. Beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea. Yes! We walked the wall in Old Town Dubrovnik!
