We had a 3 man band play. The accordion reminded me of our heritage so we asked them to play a polka. Todd, Renie, Mike and I danced! It spurred others to dance too!
We didn't encounter any wild boars! John says it would be A LOT of work to grow grapes here! Lovely ride today! Bored...John & Erin know way too much about winemaking. Stopped at the "donkey preserve." In the old days, donkeys were needed for labor, not so much anymore! They have a place to stay in retirement!
Adriatic Sea PLUNGE. You won't see me in this pic! JOHN makes it look easy peasy as he paddles around our big ship! Finished with the ride. Parking lot in front of Hvar. Boats, Boats & More Boats! HVAR! Yummy food at FIG. This is a chicken burrito with green chile sauce. The salad had some unusual greens with apples, candied bacon & blue cheese. Just what I needed. I think Mike was happy with his hamburger and French fries! We all needed a break from the healthy Mediterranean diet!
Old bell tower. Renie & Erin's husbands blew by this site on the downhill portion of his ride. I heard they went over 50 mph downhill! A tree growing out of an old church! Lunch time at an olive museum. Our tour guide explains the antique press for the olives. We were served a WELCOME drink of olive liqueur! Took a short walk to an old cemetary. Todd and Renie in St. Helen's Church, built in the second half of the 18th Century. Breakfast on the boat. Today's Ride Morning: Pucisca to Skrip - 14 miles Afternoon: Skrip to Milna - 13 miles Leaving this port town of Milna. Limestone quarry. The limestone is highly rated because of the color and the carbonate.
